Oakland School for the Arts (OSA) to Stage “The Wiz” at the Magnificent, Renovated Fox Theater.
Students of OSA will unveil The Wiz, the first live musical to grace the glamorous main stage of the Oakland Fox Theater since the theater’s heydey, in the 1930’s. This is a significant event for those who have worked hard to revitalize Oakland’s art scene, and OSA, was recently selected as Oakland’s only 2009 California Distinguished School by the California Department of Education.
