Marie-Nicole Lemieux

In 2000, at age 24 years, contralto Marie-Nicole Lemieux becomes the first Canadian to win the Prix de la Reine Fabiola (1st Prize) and the Special Prize at the Lied Concours Musical International Reine Elisabeth de Belgique. This prestigious award was made known to the international environment and allowed to occur both in recital in conjunction with major orchestras. She was also awarded for the National Orchestra of France, the Orchestra of the Capitole de Toulouse, Orchestra de la Monnaie Symphony, Orchestra Philharmonique de Radio France, The Academy of Ancient Music, the Rotterdam Philharmonic Orchestra, Les Musiciens du Louvre, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the Deutsches Symphonie Orchester Berlin, Ensemble Matheus, Les Violons du Roy, Ensemble Orchestral de Paris, all Antiquo Modo, the Singapore Symphony Orchestra, Philharmonic Orchestra St. Petersburg, the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Orchestra of the National Center for the Arts, Tafelmusik Baroque Orchestra, the Quebec Symphony Orchestra, the Toronto Symphony Orchestra and the Edmonton Symphony Orchestra.
